Deheck Named to 2011 List of “Up & Coming Lawyers”
Boyle Fredrickson shareholder Kirk Deheck has been named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” in the 2011 review published by the Wisconsin Law Journal. The annual list spotlights the “rising stars of Wisconsin’s legal community” who have “demonstrated leadership, contributed to their community and successfully achieved legal outcomes early in their career.”
Deheck joined Boyle Fredrickson in 2006. An aggressive client advocate, he focuses primarily on patent and trademark acquisition, opinions and enforcement. Deheck has drafted hundreds of patent applications in mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical and medical arts. He assists clients from a variety of industries in meeting not only their intellectual property objectives, but their business objectives as well.
Active in the legal community, Deheck is Chair of the Wisconsin Bar Intellectual Property Section. He is also a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Bar Association, Wisconsin Bar Association, Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association and American Intellectual Property Law Association.
Deheck holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with an emphasis in mechanical design and power systems, and earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School. He lives with his family in Port Washington where he also assists the Port Washington Junior Wrestling program. Deheck also leads a Boy Scouts of America Wolf Den and is the technology director of his local Parent/Teacher Association.
Deheck and his fellow 2011 class of “Up and Coming Lawyers” will be recognized on Tuesday, August 30 as part of a celebratory cocktail reception held at the Wisconsin Club in downtown Milwaukee.
